Air Canada Vacations celebrates 20 years
Air Canada Vacations is celebrating its 20th anniversary by giving away 20 prizes including two grand prizes of $10,000 to consumers who book an Air Canada Vacations package. Now available at travel agencies, their 130-page national edition outlines holidays in the Bahamas, Bermuda, California, the Caribbean, Florida, Hawaii, Mexico, New Orleans and Phoenix.
More Disney at sea
Disney Cruise Lines' first week-long eastern Caribbean sailing departed from Port Canaveral recently. The new itinerary, offered on Disney Magic, calls on St. Maarten and St. Thomas, with excursions to St. John and Castaway Cay, Disney's private Bahamian island. The cruise line's second ship, Disney Wonder, continues to offer three- and four-day cruises combined with a stay at Walt Disney World resort.
German rail pass
Rail Europe recently added a German Rail 'n Drive Pass to its lineup of European rail and rail-related products across Europe. The pass gives travellers two days of unlimited train travel and two days of an unlimited mileage Avis rental car within a one-month period. For two adults travelling together prices range from $219 to $315 per person. Pass holders also travel free on Rhine and Moselle River steamers and receive a discount on Lake Constance boats and various Europabus routes.
European winters
For the first time in its history Signature Vacations is selling trans-Atlantic flights through the winter, using both Air Transat and Royal Airlines. Air Transat flights will operate from Toronto to London/Gatwick, Glasgow and Manchester, and from Montreal to London/Gatwick, from Christmas until the end of April. A special Christmas season flight to Belfast will also depart from Toronto on December 20 and return January 4. Return air fares start at $729. Royal Signature is launching a new winter service to Malaga, with weekly departures from Toronto from as low as $699.
Florida at par
For the second consecutive year, SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay are offering their Canadian Resident Salute, with single- and multi-day park tickets at par with the U.S. dollar. New this year are at par single-day and combination passes available at the parks' gates. The at-par deal is available through April 30 to guests who can show proof of Canadian residency. Choice-of-Adventure passes and Adventure Passport tickets are available through Signature Vacations, The Holiday Network, Keith Prowse Attractions and World of Vacations.
