Air Canada Vacations ski brochure New in this winter's Air Canada Vacations' ski brochure is a ski-as-you-please program in Whistler, Banff/Lake Louise, and Vail/Beaver Creek for skiers who have hotel or condo accommodations and who want to buy an Air Canada flight, transfers or Avis skierized car rental, and ski lift ticket. Also new are hotel packages featuring a minimum four-night stay. Prices in Banff/ Lake Louise start at C$869 per person, double occupancy, with ten properties available. Whistler holidays start at C$1,119 (quad occupancy) with eight hotels available. Three properties are offered at Vail/Beaver Creek. Singapore tour The Singapore Tourism Board, Singapore Airlines, and select Canadian tour operators are offering package deals to Southeast Asia next year. The new Singapore & More packages include return air fare on Singapore Airlines from Vancouver or Toronto, four nights accommodation in Singapore, transfers, daily breakfast, and local tours. As a bonus, an additional two free nights in Sentosa at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort or at Bintan Resorts staying at Hotel Sedona Bintan Lagoon will be added on to the Singapore itinerary. Prices start from $1,399. The Golden Deal for those over 60 years of age offers seniors a free cooking class at the Raffles Culinary Academy or a luncheon at the Raffles Hotel. Mexico code-share Air Canada extended its Mexico network by code-sharing on Mexicana flights between Mexico City and Guadalajara, Cancun, Ixtapa, and Puerto Vallarta. Air Canada will also put its code on Mexicana flights between Los Angeles and Guadalajara, with connections from Calgary. In return, Mexicana will code-share on three Canadian routes. Ireland holidays Sunquest is offering Christmas and New Year's service to and from Ireland, departing Toronto for Dublin/Shannon December 20 and returning January 4. Prices start at C$899. Taxes and service charges are extra and fares are subject to availability. Special rates are offered to seniors and children. A $250 deposit is required at time of booking. Reserved seats Sunquest and ALBATours' passengers may now reserve their seats at any time on their Skyservice flights before their tickets are issued. Effective immediately, advance seat selection is available for $10 per flight segment on Caribbean, Mexico, U.S., and Central America flights and for $15 on trans-Atlantic flights. Seat selection is complimentary for Premier Class passengers. Aruba promotion American Express has launched the 'Island of the Month' program in Aruba, offering a US$100 food and beverage credit or booking rebate to vacationers booking all-inclusive properties with their American Express card. Consumers will also receive a US$100 American Express Gift Cheque for a minimum five-night stay when they use their Amex card. A total of 13 properties are participating in the program, including Allegro Resort Aruba (all-inclusive), Aruba Sonesta Resort & Casino at Seaport Village, Aruba Holiday Inn Beach Resort & Casino, and Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino. There are now 23 Radisson properties in Canada. Both hotels underwent a complete refurbishing of all guest rooms and corridors and remodelling in meeting rooms. Royal Airlines service Canadians can now enjoy Royal's service to all business gateways across Canada five days a week. The airline now offers four daily flights between Toronto and Montreal; five weekly flights between Toronto and Vancouver; five weekly flights between Toronto and Winnipeg; and five weekly flights between Toronto and Halifax. Dead Sea Scrolls visit Chicago For the first time in 50 years, The Dead Sea Scrolls will visit Chicago in a special exhibition at The Field Museum from March 10 through June 11, 2000. The exhibition will also feature 80 artifacts from Qumran, rare books and manuscripts, a modern Torah Scroll, a ten-minute video, a reading area, and several inter-active computer stations. The Carousel sails out of Cozumel, Mexico through April 9 from only $999. New York headliners Three new upscale budget hotels recently opened in New York City. Centrally located in the city's most vibrant areas, the hotels have made their presence felt.
