AMERICAN EXPRESS PLANS LIVE AUDIO WEBCASTS OF THE SECOND QUARTER EARNINGS CONFERENCE CALL AND SEMI-ANNUAL FINANCIAL COMMUNITY MEETING
NEW YORK, July 01, 2009 -- American Express plans to host a live audio webcast of its investor conference call at 5:00 pm (ET) on Thursday, July 23, 2009 to discuss second quarter 2009 financial results. The company's financial results are scheduled to be announced shortly after the market closes that day.
The company also plans to host its semi-annual Financial Community Meeting at 2:30 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. At the meeting, Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Daniel T. Henry, Chief Financial Officer, will provide an overview of the company's business strategy.
