About the Share The Love Competition
The Share The Love competition will fly two families to either New York or Los Angeles in November. The families have 48 hours to earn enough American Express Award Dollars on their JetBlue Card by American Express to get home. The families may only earn the points on purchases for other people. Each family will face interesting challenges in their pursuit to earn their way home, helped along the way by JetBlue crewmembers. The family that spends their way home in the most creative way will win.
The families' experiences during the competition will be filmed to create a reality TV program that will air on JetBlue flights in the Spring of 2006 with featured segments online at www.jetbluecard.com. The winning family will be chosen by popular vote, based on the most creative ways to earn American Express Award Dollars. Full details on the voting process will be available at www.jetbluecard.com once the Share the Love competition ends.
The winning family will be awarded a year's worth of travel on JetBlue. The second-place family will receive a prize of 40,000 Award Dollars, equivalent to 200 TrueBlue points or two round-trip JetBlue tickets. Those who wish to learn more about this competition or to fill out an application for the contest are encouraged to visit www.jetbluecard.com.
About American Express and JetBlue Airways
JetBlue and American Express enjoy a strong partnership since JetBlue's launch in 2000. In December 2004, American Express added JetBlue to its Membership Rewards® program for enrolled Cardmembers to transfer points directly into the TrueBlue® program for travel with the airline. The partnership between JetBlue's TrueBlue flight gratitude program and Membership Rewards program exceeded the one-year goal within the first three months. In June, both companies announced an extension of their partnership launching a co-brand Credit Card, the JetBlue Card from American Express. The Card provides consumers the only way to earn TrueBlue Award Dollars outside of flying.
