Must-have tickets for Broadway’s fall season available through Early-On-Sale offer for American Express© Cardmembers beginning Monday, June 6 at 10:00 AM; Tickets go on sale to general public Tuesday, July 5

NEW YORK, June 03, 2005 -- American Express today announces a special Cardmember Early-on-Sale for tickets to The Odd Couple – the new production of Neil Simon's Broadway classic and the next smash vehicle for the highly-touted, highly-decorated comedic twosome of Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, directed by Joe Mantello. For the Early-on-Sale period, starting June 6 and continuing through July 4, tickets will be available only to American Express Cardmembers and can only be purchased through American Express' newly-minted Broadway Web site, American Express presents Broadway, Live at Yahoo! (URL: broadway.yahoo.com) or by calling Ticketmaster at 212-307-4100.

With performances starting October 4 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick will co-star in The Odd Couple as Oscar Madison and Felix Unger, respectively. This marks their first reteaming since triumphing in The Producers.

The Cardmember Early-on-Sale is timed with the launch of American Express presents Broadway, Live at Yahoo!, a new online site providing an online bridge to the Broadway theater scene. The site, hosted by leading global Internet company Yahoo!, is a streamlined resource for everything from show information to ticket sales, news headlines, Cardmember benefits, behind-the-scenes footage and never-before-seen original show content. It provides a comprehensive solution for packaging the whole of Broadway for a national consumer audience in an innovative, user-friendly format.

“With a national audience of theater-lovers in mind, we designed this new Web site to expand access to the best of Broadway for all fans,” explains Nancy Smith, American Express' vice president, Global Media and Sponsorship Marketing. “It is fitting to commemorate a launch we believe will promote wide-spread interest and excitement in everything Broadway with an Early-on-Sale offer for The Odd Couple, which promises to deliver great entertainment for Cardmembers.”

Apart from Cardmember Early-on-sales, the site is loaded with perks available to American Express Cardmembers. Special Offers include Rewards Cards (monetary gift cards with pre-set values), original cast recordings and books authored by cast-members and show merchandise. In addition, for select American Express Cardmembers, the site will offer a full menu of premium benefits – from preferred seating to meet-and-greets with Broadway stars – designed to enhance the theater-going experience for Cardmembers. Complete details on offers available for select cards will be available at the Web site.
