POSTBANK AND AMERICAN EXPRESS LAUNCH THE FIRST AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS IN BULGARIA
The American Express Credit Cards offer premium benefits and services of the American Express global brand
Sofia, April 12, 2005 -- Postbank and American Express today announced the launch of the first American Express Cards in Bulgaria. The American Express Credit Card and American Express Gold Credit Card are designed to meet the needs of Bulgarian consumers who aspire for success and expect a higher level of service and benefits from their financial products.
The new American Express Cards offer 24x7 customer service in Bulgaria and around the world, emergency card replacement and unique benefits, including protection against fraud and access to specially negotiated savings. The cards will be available mid-April.
The partnership with American Express results in Postbank being the exclusive issuer of American Express Credit Cards in Bulgaria. Postbank will also acquire new merchants in Bulgaria to accept the American Express Card at their establishments.

- Payment Flexibility – Provides a minimum credit line of BGN 1,000 and offers up to 55 days interest free credit. The annual service fee is BGN 50;

- Fraud Protection - limited liability if card used for fraudulent purposes up to 150 BGN;
- Travel Accident Insurance – coverage while traveling up 100,000 BGN;

American Express Gold Credit Card
This product offers a similar array of benefits at higher levels than the American Express Credit Card. The American Express Gold Credit Card also provides Cardmembers with exclusive access to dedicated travel representatives who can make travel arrangements and provide access to specially negotiated offers on travel and holiday promotions.

- Payment Flexibility -- Provides a minimum credit line of BGN 5000 and offers up to 55 days interest free credit. The annual service fee is BGN 120;
- Purchase Protection - cover for damaged or stolen goods up to 20 000 BGN per year, 3 months after the purchase;
- Fraud Protection - limited liability if card used for fraudulent purposes up to 150 BGN;
- Travel Accident Insurance - coverage while traveling up 300 000 BGN;
- Travel Inconvenience - 500-2 000 BGN depending on the event;
