NEW YORK, October 26, 2005 -- American Express today announced a nationwide promotion that will give Delta SkyMiles and SkyPoints Credit Cardmembers double miles or double points respectively, on purchases made on their Card from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2005.
“Cardmembers can get more value for their purchases by earning double miles or double points when they use their Delta SkyMiles or SkyPoints Credit Card,” said Eva Reda, vice president, Delta Cobrands, American Express. “From napkin rings to diamond rings -- shopping for favorite items just became an even more rewarding experience this holiday season.”
To take advantage of the special double miles or double points promotion, Cardmembers must enroll their Delta SkyMiles Credit Card(1) at americanexpress.com/deltaenroll or their SkyPoints Credit Card(2) at americanexpress.com/enrolldoubleskypoints. Cardmembers who do not have Internet access can call 1-800-615-0403 to enroll their Delta SkyMiles Card or 1-800-227-7081 to enroll their SkyPoints Credit Card.
Year round, Delta SkyMiles Credit Cardmembers earn two miles and SkyPoints Credit Cardmembers earn two points for every eligible dollar charged to the Card for purchases at stand-alone supermarkets, gas stations, drugstores, the U.S. Postal Service, wireless phone bills and Delta Air Lines(3). During non-promotional periods, Cardmembers also earn one mile or one point for every eligible dollar charged for other purchases.
