LAGUARDIA'S HISTORIC MARINE AIR TERMINAL GETS A FACELIFT WITH HELP FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS AND DELTA

American Express Partners with Delta Offers Enhanced Amenities and New PowerStop(TM) Center for Delta Shuttle Customers


NEW YORK – May 16, 2006 - American Express today announced the unveiling of a state-of-the-art business center at LaGuardia's historic Marine Air Terminal, offering business travelers a truly useful experience when traveling on the Delta Shuttle. PowerStop was created with the comfort and convenience of today's business traveler in mind, providing a number of amenities to customers including:

  • Wireless high-speed internet access throughout the terminal;
  • Connection to 10 workstations equipped with power outlets for easy workspace access;
  • Four Apple iMac personal computers for quick and secure Internet access, as well as copy and fax machines;
  • A VIP lounge and conference room for last minute meetings and calls.

“On-the-go business travelers will have an enhanced experience when they fly the Delta Shuttle out the Marine Air Terminal, whether they want to get some work done or just relax,” said Erich Franken, Vice President, Airline Industry, American Express Establishment Services. “Our development of PowerStop with Delta is a reflection of our innovative partnership and will provide our mutual customers with a unique traveling experience.”

In addition to PowerStop, the gate area will also be upgraded with new furniture and a complimentary magazine rack to provide additional comfort and convenience for passengers waiting to board their flight.
