US OPEN ADVANCE TICKET SALE FOR AMERICAN EXPRESS® CARDMEMBERS BEGINS MONDAY, JUNE 5 AT 9:00 A.M.

Includes Special Buy-One-Get-One-Free Offer; Tickets Available to the General Public Monday, June 12

NEW YORK, N.Y., May 30, 2006 -- American Express and the USTA today announced that American Express will once again offer American Express Cardmembers the opportunity to purchase 2006 US Open tickets prior to public sale. Tickets are available for purchase with any American Express Card through USOpen.org or by calling TicketMaster at 866-OPEN-TIX from 9am Monday, June 5 through Saturday, June 10.

As a special bonus, Cardmembers will receive an additional ticket free(1) for every ticket purchased for the first four evening sessions, Monday, August 28th through Thursday, August 31st, the evening session on Monday, September 4th and the day sessions, from Tuesday, September 5th through Friday, September 8th. Cardmembers will also be able to redeem Membership Rewards® points for tickets. Gold Card Events preferred lower Promenade seating is available for purchase by calling 1-800-NOW-AMEX from Monday, June 5th through Friday, July 14th.

American Express has been a US Open Sponsor since 1994. As a sponsor, American Express has developed initiatives designed to elevate the profile of the sport and enhance the experience of the US Open with benefits for Cardmembers including personal radios(2) that provide live audio feeds of the television broadcasts; information centers and concierge services; and pedestrian pedicabs to shuttle all attendees to and from the entrance of the USTA National Tennis Center.

Tickets for the US Open go on sale to the general public Monday, June 12 at 9am through USOpen.org, at all Ticketmaster locations, or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-866-OPEN-TIX, and at the USTA National Tennis Center box office in Flushing, N.Y.

The US Open is the highest annually attended sporting event in the world with more than 650,000 fans attending last year. More than 87 million viewers watched the 2005 US Open on CBS Sports and USA Network, and international broadcasts reached 184 countries.
