Shopping through the Bonus Points Mall is easy, convenient and safe. Once Cardmembers log in to the Bonus Points Mall Web site, they can browse the virtual mall, click on the online retailer of their choice, and be instantly directed to that retailer's Web site.

Cardmembers can also shop the Bonus Points Mall with peace of mind, courtesy of American Express' retail insurance programs. Available at no extra cost as part of Card membership, these insurance plans help to protect items purchased with their American Express Card, especially those big-ticket items such as computers, laptops and electronic devices. For example, the Purchase Protection Plan2 provides added protection for accidental damage to or theft of covered items, including clothing, footwear, electronic equipment and miscellaneous accessories, purchased with the Card for 90 days from the date of purchase.

Cardmembers can expand their warranty period on select items with the Buyer's Assurance Plan3, which extends the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty on covered products for a period of time equal to the duration of the original manufacturer's warranty, up to one additional year. If Cardmembers are not satisfied with a product and try to return a designated item within 90 days from the purchase date and the store won't take it back, American Express' Return Protection4 will refund the Cardmember's account for the full purchase price, up to $300 per item and a maximum of $1,000 annually per Cardmember account.
