BANCO PRIVADO AND AMERICAN EXPRESS LAUNCH THE BANCO PRIVADO AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD

Buenos Aires, June 13, 2007 -- American Express and Banco Privado de Inversiones (BPI) today announced the launch of The Banco Privado American Express Card.

Banco Privado will offer three versions of the card, including Standard, Gold and Platinum. The cards will feature a wide range of benefits and services, including access to the American Express Selects program with special offers for Cardmembers worldwide, the BPI Chances program which offers amazing prizes every month, payment facilities and additional cards free-of-charge. In addition, Banco Privado Platinum Cardmembers will have access to the entré platform, with special merchant offers as well as a private benefits website and 24-hour customer service.

Banco Privado designs the products, issues the cards, and manages the customer accounts, billing and credit management. Cardmembers will be able to use their cards at the millions of merchants that honor the American Express Card in more than 200 countries and territories throughout the world, and enjoy the high-quality customer service that Banco Privado offers.
