AMERICAN EXPRESS PLANS LIVE AUDIO WEBCASTS OF THE INVESTOR CONFERENCE CALL FOLLOWING FIRST QUARTER FINANCIAL RESULTS AND THE ANNUAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS
NEW YORK, April 16, 2009 -- American Express Company said today that it plans to host a live audio webcast of its investor conference call on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at 5:00 pm (ET) to discuss first quarter 2009 financial results. The company's financial results are scheduled to be announced shortly after the market closes on Thursday, April 23, 2009.
The company also plans to host a live audio webcast of its annual meeting of shareholders on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). The meeting will be held in the Auditorium at the Company's Greensboro Service Center.
