Key Requirements:
Before joining the American Express UK Affiliate Programme, please ensure your website meets the following requirements:
- Your site must be live.
- If you are an Ecommerce site, you must accept the American Express Card. Please visit www.americanexpress.co.uk/acceptamex for more information.
- If you are a site that collects and stores end-user information, you must have a privacy policy.
- The majority of your site visitors are UK residents. Because American Express products are country-specific, international visitors cannot apply for this product and therefore will not generate any revenue for you.
- We review all new Affiliate Partners to make sure that these requirements are fulfilled.
- In addition, some sites may be deemed unsuitable. Should your site contain, or include, any of the following, you will not be eligible to join the American Express UK Affiliate Programme.
- Hate/offensive/violent content
- Lewd/pornographic content
- A non-UK based audience
- Religious content
- Political content that endorses one party or candidate
- Aesthetically unpleasing content
- Abusive or irresponsible promotion of Alcohol, Tobacco or Drugs
- Use of the word "sex" gratuitously or excessively
- Content aimed at children
- Gambling, firearms, games of chance, and lotteries
Please note that American Express adheres to a strict "opt-in" or permission-based e-mail policy. Therefore, all e-mails sent to end-customers promoting American Express products and services must be to "opt-in" e-mail customers only.
